.. what you will read below is pretty much low-blows at myself .. awesome! i fuckin hate this guy! ..

1. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it more accurate to say that the location and menu were chosen to expedite getting the event over with in the quickest, easiest manner because the MEMBERS have no real desire to hangout with each other for extended meaningful interactions and are just staging this lame farce to please faculty members who suggested that a party is a good idea? (Like many club activities in recent years.)

2. Off campus events not reimbursed?  What the hell are you talking about Tom? Sponsored club events happen off campus all the time. Not sure why you made such a ridiculous claim.

3. Once again young man, you demonstrate your ignorance. The fact that a restaurant serves alcoholic beverages needn't have any bearing on who may attend a club event held there. This was true for SoPE under my advising, and as it currently is for other SCSU clubs with whom I'm familiar.

Interesting that you chose not to address my provocatively semi-silly questions about the Earth, the Sun, and the Universe, preferring instead to imply that my TGIF suggestion was, in various ways, inappropriate. Nor, did you address the validity of my comments regarding pricing info and public access to the party. The reiteration of my original suggestion was offered merely as a solution, not as to force the issue. Since you have now found your own mundane solution, the point is moot. Enough said.

I'm not at all surprised to find that the "PARTY" will consist of the same cheap pizza and soda status quo, set in the oh-so exciting ambiance of JE110. Of course the club can't afford more, there's been a complete and utter absence of fundraising, and zero desire to compete for ready prize moneys. Save for Jay and Dan, there's also very little interest whatsoever in socializing as a group or with other groups.

I made my suggestion light-heartedly and without demand. As always, I had the best interests of the club in mind, and I don't appreciate your tone Tommy nor do I think you'd have taken it with other faculty. There was no need for your erroneous reply, and, in spite of your insinuation, I believe I've earned an honorary lifetime MEMBERship. Not only did I single-handedly conceive of and establish SoPE, I was chief instigator as president, lone advisor for the first few years, later with CCB, and worked closely alongside subsequent officers, built many great experiences and lasting friendships, and was the first to "thrust the club into national orbit". Believe it or not, there was actually a time when we had at least a few members who regularly enjoyed each others company, new ideas, new places, activities, other SCSU clubs, and varied challenges... at least as much as they wanted to kiss faculty ass and pad their resume. I have given more of myself to SoPE than anyone else probably ever will. My recent alienation from the club is due to the lack of inspiration, innovation, and passion within the group over the last couple of years, but new hope abounds, as I believe Dan may be just the guy to turn things around..., and I will be here to help selflessly if asked, and be certain to toast his successes when they they are won, as you so snidely encouraged.

You have made it abundantly clear that you feel that this end of 
semester party should be held at TGIFriday's. The decision aginst doing 
so was made for the following reasons:

1. There was a consensus among MEMBERS of the club that this event 
should be held on campus in a familiar location that would be easily 
accessible by all whom choose to attend

2. If this event were to be held off campus, then we as a club would 
likely not be reembursed for any funds used.

3. Taking your side comments at face value, you presumable would like 
to hold this off campus in order to indulge in liquid refreshment. Due 
to the varied ages of the members in the club, this would act limit 
those who could attend.

If you still feel like attending TGIFriday's or any other off campus 
restaurant, please feel free to toast the continued success of Our 
club. If you choose to join us, the menu has been changed to the 
traditional pizza, salad, and soda. This is a more cost effective 
entree that will allow us to host more individuals.
